Leather or Steampunk? Too hard to pick just one!

So we’re going to feature BOTH! We’ve talked about Steampunk a lot on our blog, especially in the months since Dorian’s Parlor has gained steam (pun intended). But we also love leather and had a blast at MAL last week. So we’re going to give you some amazing men’s pieces that incorporate both, from tophats to tailcoats!

Dorian's Parlor - October 2010 Diabolique 2010

At both Dorian’s Parlor in October (left) and Diabolique in November (right), we featured a beautiful leather top hat on the runway. We’ve recently gotten a couple more of these beautiful and unique leather pieces in the store, and they’re perfect to dress up your Leather or to complete that Steampunk look. They look great with goggles wrapped around them, or with a full leather tuxedo.

Just in from one of our favorite leather designers is this hot snap-front brown leather vest. Though this may not be something you’d see very often at MAL, brown leather seems to be one of the staples of Steampunk fashion.

Leather Tailcoat

Our talented staff at PASSIONAL felt like something was missing from the leather formalwear we’d seen. Finally, we figured it out: we needed a leather tailcoat! This piece was specially made exclusively for PASSIONAL Boutique, and features soft, buttery smooth leather.

And last, but definitely not least, boots are an essential part of any Steampunker or Leather aficionado’s wardrobe. These particular boots by Demonia are nearly knee-high and covered with cogs and straps. They have a nice, heavy lug sole and look great in both brown (in stock) or black (available for special order). Someone who has worn these boots told us that they were surprisingly easy to break in and very comfortable!

Next week: Valentine’s Day is approaching, and you’ll want to look your burlesque best! We’ve got delectable ladies’ fashions that are perfect for Cupid’s favorite holiday!
